Welcome back to school! Please enjoy Issue Two of Lear & Lear Education Newsletter, with information about Educator Evaluation Policies (see the link to the sample policy, below), FERPA guidelines from Utah’s court of appeals regarding surveillance cameras, and 5th Circuit guidance on discipilning students for off-campus online speech that disrupts the school environment.
The Legislative Session has ended and now we’re left with less than a year to make sense of it all. Our first issues of our newsletter is dedicated to helping LEAs to do just that. Included in this issue is a summary of legislation for districts and charters, a list of policies now required as a result of the Session, and direction for HR Directors. We hope it helps put the legislative pieces together!
